Rewards & Benefits
Although working in the care sector can be very rewarding, there are moments where it can be challenging and stressful. This is why we are always looking for ways of giving something back to staff that have shown their commitment and sometimes have had to work well beyond their call of duty.
Training & Development
When you join us, we will make sure you’re well equipped to work successfully with our customers and to enable you get the most out of collaborative working with your colleagues. To this end we offer free mandatory training in your first few weeks with us. It doesn’t stop there, through our supervision and appraisal process we will identify areas that may need further training and that can enable you to progress further in the organisation.
Staff Well Being
At Sunrise Care, we understand that the wellbeing of our team is fundamental to delivering safe, compassionate, and consistently high‑quality support to the people who rely on us. When our staff feel supported, valued, and equipped to manage life’s challenges, they are better able to provide the standard of care we are committed to.
To ensure every member of our team has access to meaningful support whenever they need it, we offer a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). This service is designed to promote and protect mental, emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing, providing confidential guidance, practical tools, and professional help around the clock. The EAP forms an important part of our commitment to creating a healthy, resilient, and supportive working environment for all.
Pension
To help people save more for their retirement, all employers are now required by law to provide a workplace pension scheme for certain staff and pay money into it. We encourage our employees to invest in a pension and their retirement. When joining a pension scheme you will put money into the pension each month directly from your pay, and the government will contribute through tax relief. We will also contribute to the pension on your behalf each month.
Our pension scheme is an auto enrolment pension so staff will not need to do anything as this is processed automatically. Most staff will meet the auto enrolment criteria and are automatically enrolled into our workplace pension scheme. If you do not meet the auto enrolment criteria, you will not become a member of the scheme automatically, but you can choose to opt in at any time.
You can opt out of the pension scheme if you want to, but if you stay in you will have your own personal pension when you retire. Your pension will belong to you, even if you leave us in the future.
You can ask to re-join the scheme by contacting us in writing.
