Marteene House
A supported living services for Adults with Learning Disablilities and Autisim
Sunrise Care Domiciliary Agency supports a small group of clients who live in a supported living accommodation at Marteene House.
The services supports adults with mild to moderate needs and primarily with a learning disability or autism, who may also have a diagnosis of mental health. The objective for this client group is to support them with the aspects of daily living as identified in their care plan. In so doing, the customers live as independently as possible and engage as much as possible with their local community.
The service is designed completely around the customer and their needs. The staff support the customers in ways that suit them and at times which is convenient to them. Each person has their own timetable of activities throughout the week and so meals, support with laundry etc, are scheduled around each individual and what they do.
The house has one staff member on duty throughout the day from 7am to 10pm and a sleep-in staff supports the customers in case of emergency over night. Extra staff are provided to deliver 1:1 support as identified in an individual’s care plan.
